MTBC Coaching License
The MTBC Coaching License is to provide certified active coaches the recognition for being an MTBC Certified Coach and that they have shown the capability and have the knowledge to coach in their respective certification level.
This is also for athletes and/or parents interested in engaging a certified coach, they are able to make the right decisions to find a suitable coach for themselves. It is important that an athlete engages a certified coach as this will ensure their progress within the sport, and MTBC Certified Coaches are updated regularly on the requirements of the National Coaching Panel in terms of what the National Coaches are looking for in athletes to represent the country.
MTBC Coaching License
Coaches that have completed and passed the MTBC Coaching Certification Program will have to apply for a MTBC License which will recognize them as active coaches. The license will be given according to the coaching level, and the fee is RM 200 for a period of 2 years. This is in line with the National Coaching Academy Licensing Program under the National Sports Institute.
Basically, Coaches who are interested to coach under any government program such as being a coach under the State Sports Council will require to get 2 licenses, which is the MTBC License and the AKK SPKK License. The additional requirement under the SPKK license is that coaches must complete the Sport Science Courses (Level 1 - 3) under the National Coaching Academy. For those coaching privately, such as, clubs and academies, it is an additional benefit to have sport science knowledge, but it is not mandatory. MTBC highly recommend that coaches do take the National Coaching Academy Sport Science Courses.
