Competition Summary & Key Results

Singles

  • Women’s Singles:
    Adelia Nur Irwan Syazalee advanced through the group stage and semi-final, defeating Singapore’s Shayna Ng Lin Zhi. She earned
    Silver after a 0–2 final loss to Essi Pakarinen (Finland).
    This marked Malaysia’s first medal.
  • Men’s Singles:
    Four men reached Round 2, but none advanced to the semi-finals.

Doubles

  • Women’s Doubles:
    Two Malaysian pairs reached Round 2 but did not progress further.
  • Men’s Doubles:
    The pair Muhammad Syazirol Shamsudin / Rafiq Ismail advanced to the semi-finals and secured a
    Bronze Medal, Malaysia’s second medal.

Trios

  • Men’s Trios:
    Both Malaysian squads qualified for Round 2 but did not advance to the semi-finals.
  • Women’s Trios:
    The first squad qualified as top seed but finished 3rd in Round 2, missing the semi-final cut.

Team of Five

  • Men’s Team:
    Did not progress beyond qualifying.
  • Women’s Team:
    Topped Round 2 and advanced to Queen Elizabeth Stadium for the knockout stage.
    Malaysia defeated Japan 2–0 in the semi-final but narrowly lost 1–2 to USA in the final, earning
    Silver.
    The Women’s Team also achieved
    Bronze in the Women’s Overall Federation Standing.
