36th Interstate Championship

The 36th Interstate Tenpin Bowling Championship began on 27 September 2025, bringing together 15 states in four days of thrilling competition and high-level matchups.

Day 1 saw Sarawak open the medal tally by striking gold in the women’s singles. Kuala Lumpur quickly followed with a victory in the boy’s singles, while Sabah made a powerful start with two golds in the senior men’s and girl’s singles divisions. Selangor wrapped up the opening day in style by winning the senior women’s event.

Day 2 swung the momentum in new directions. Selangor stamped their dominance in both the boy’s and girl’s doubles, while Penang claimed the men’s doubles and Sabah delivered another gold in the women’s doubles. In the senior categories, Pahang made their mark by securing the men’s doubles crown, and Kelantan took home the women’s doubles title.

The final day brought an electrifying showcase of teamwork in the Team of Four events. Sarawak reigned in the girl’s category, Selangor captured the boy’s title, Kuala Lumpur triumphed in the men’s division, and Sabah added another gold in the women’s event. Pahang impressed by sweeping both senior men’s and senior women’s team titles.

Across the All-Events standings, champions emerged from every corner, but the overall divisional titles told the larger story. Selangor shone brightest in the boy’s division, Sabah took charge in both the girl’s and women’s categories, Penang claimed the men’s crown, while Pahang and Selangor stood tall in the senior divisions.

The pinnacle of the championship came with the awarding of the PS. Nathan Cup, where Selangor made history as the inaugural champions — a milestone moment in Malaysian tenpin bowling.

Meanwhile, The 47th National Tenpin Bowling Championship 2025 reached its climax at Sunway Mega Lanes with four days of gripping Masters Qualifliers and Finals action, packed with high scores, dramatic finishes, and new champions crowned across every division.

The finals opened after the finalist go through 14 Masters Qualifiers, trying to take a spot in the Finals. Muhammad Jaris Thaqif Hellmi claimed the Boy’s Open Masters crown, while Intan Nor Edyrana, representing Team Youth Malaysia, delivered a confident performance to lift the Girl’s Open Masters title. Johor shone in the Graded Masters, with Ahmad Danial capturing the Boy’s division and Nurul Imanina Qistina Mohd Norazli taking the Girl’s crown.

The momentum carried into the Graded Masters Finals, thrilling fans with close contests. In the Men’s division, Ezzat Ezani bin Makhir rose above the competition to secure the championship, edging past runner-up Nyak Arif Hakimi and third-placed Amirul Syafiq. The Women’s Graded Masters final proved just as intense, with Mayra Khayreena staying composed to claim victory, ahead of Adriana Ramiza Ramulo in second and Nur Anis Anisya Muhammad Zaffli in third after an impressive showing.

The highlight of the championship came in the Open Masters Step-Ladder Finals. The Men’s division produced one of the most dramatic finishes in recent memory when challenger Muhammad Aiman Syahin faced top seed Megat Zaqrul Haiqal. Their title clash ended in a stunning 279–279 tie, forcing a sudden-death roll-off. In the rare one-ball decider, Aiman held his nerve to deliver clutch strikes, edging past Megat to capture the Men’s Open crown. Despite his strong qualifying run, Megat had to settle for runner-up, while Adam Darwish finished third after bowing out earlier in the step-ladder.

In the Women’s Open Masters Final, suprising finalist Nur Anis Anisya pulled off a big win in the semifinal against national star Sin Li Jane, setting up a title showdown with top seed Faten Najihah Ahmad Faik. Faten, however, remained unshaken under pressure, producing steady shot-making throughout the match to retain her top spot and lift the Women’s Open title.

The 47th National Championship finals truly delivered it all — from youth breakthroughs to seasoned consistency, and even a worthy roll-off finish. Congratulations to all the winners who etched their names into Malaysian bowling history.
