The 2nd Asian Para Tenpin Bowling Championships wrapped up on September 5, 2025, at Sunway Megalanes in Malaysia, leaving behind a thrilling week of fierce competition and impressive performances. Hosted by the Malaysian Tenpin Bowling Congress (MTBC), the event saw 84 men and 37 women from 10 countries battling it out for the top honors.

Korea was the clear standout of the tournament, finishing with a total of 16 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze medals. Their women’s team, in particular, was unstoppable, claiming six out of the seven golds in the Women’s Singles event, dominating the lanes in various categories.

As the host country, Malaysia held its own, finishing with 5 golds, 8 silvers, and 4 bronzes. The Malaysian men’s team stood out, showing their strength in the Singles and Trios events.

In the end, Korea took home the title of overall champion, with 16-3-5 in the medal tally. Malaysia was right behind them, with 5-8-4 in the overall tally. The tournament concluded with a beautiful victory banquet, where trophies were presented to the champions by officials from the Paralympic Council of Malaysia.

The 2nd Asian Para Tenpin Bowling Championships proved to be a celebration of incredible talent, perseverance, and the spirit of inclusivity, reminding everyone of the power of sport to bring people together. We hope that more championships featuring Para-athletes across all sports will be held more often to showcase the brilliant talent we might overlook.
